JAPAN's biggest container shipping company MOL will implement a US$750 per TEU rate hike together with increases for reefer as dry FEU of $1,000 from December 1 on all cargo from Asia to the east coast South America.
MOL said its General Rate Restoration is necessary to "sustain the high quality service level", MOL said.
Earlier, MOL announced a US$500 per TEU rate increase from December 1 on all cargo from Asia to Mexico and west coast of South America.
In its notice to trade, the company said: "We would like to express our sincere appreciation for your continued support and understanding."
